A Territory Manager in the Linen Management industry oversees the operations, client relationships, and service delivery across a designated geographic area. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, leadership, and client management skills. Below is a typical job description for the role:
Job Title: Territory Manager – Linen Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management :
- Oversee Linen management operations for multiple client sites within the assigned territory.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and company policies.
- Monitor and manage day-to-day activities, including housekeeping, maintenance, security, and other FM services.
- Team Leadership :
- Recruit, train, and supervise on-site staff and supervisors.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide necessary coaching to improve productivity.
- Ensure teams are motivated and adhere to operational standards.
- Client Relationship Management :
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients within the territory.
- Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Identify client needs and recommend value-added services.
- Budgeting and Financial Management :
- Prepare and manage budgets for Linen operations.
- Monitor expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Generate periodic reports on financial and operational performance.
- Business Development :
- Identify opportunities to expand services within the territory.
- Collaborate with the sales team to pitch and secure new contracts.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and industry contacts.
- Compliance and Risk Management :
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to minimize risks.
- Implement corrective actions for identified gaps.
- Reporting and Analytics :
- Generate regular operational reports for senior management and clients.
- Track KPIs to evaluate the efficiency and quality of services.
- Utilize data to forecast operational requirements and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Housekeeping, Linen management, operations, or a related domain.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with FM software/tools.
