Job Summary: The Assistant Manager / Manager – Planning will be responsible for end-to-end planning and coordination of demand forecasting, supply management, and distribution across the network. This role will ensure optimal product availability, minimize stockouts, and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand efficiently. The planner will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Logistics, to align supply chain processes with business objectives.

Roles and Responsibility:-

Demand Planning and Forecasting:

·Lead collaboration with Sales and Marketing to gather demand inputs and create accurate forecasts.

·Utilize statistical and analytical tools to assess historical data, market trends, and promotions, refining forecasts as needed.

2. Supply Planning:

·Developand maintain supply plans to meet the forecasted demand, ensuring optimal stock levels across locations.

· Collaborate with suppliers and procurement teams to coordinate lead times, replenishment schedules, and order quantities.

·Manage inventory levels, safety stock, and buffer inventory to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

3. Distribution Planning:

·Oversee the distribution network to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to various locations.

· Work with logistics teams to optimize routing, load planning, and transport costs.

4. Inventory Management:

·Monitor inventory turnover and aging to optimize stock levels and reduce holding costs.

· Conduct regular reviews of slow-moving and obsolete stock and take necessary actions to manage excess inventory.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

· Act as the main point of contact between supply chain and other departments, ensuring alignment on forecasts, inventory, and distribution.

.Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing updates on supply chain activities, potential issues, and resolutions.

· Lead demand and supply planning meetings to align all stakeholders on forecasts and supply constraints.

6. Process Improvement and Analytics:

·Identify and implement process improvements across demand, supply, and distribution planning functions.

· Utilize data and analytics to track, report, and improve forecast accuracy, fill rates, and other KPIs.

· Develop and maintain dashboards to provide visibility into planning performance and trends.

J ob Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or distribution planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analytics expertise; knowledge of SQL or other analytical tools is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
