Data Engineer
We are looking for a lead data engineer cum architect who understands the business needs, explores the existing data structures, and creates a blueprint for building an integrated framework of easily accessible, secure data aligned with Chubb global and regional business strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and play a key role on the leadership team – building the advisory practice and providing thought leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure that data solutions meet their needs
- Develop and implement an enterprise data strategy integrating disparate data model across Chubb into unified models while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Shape enterprise data architecture design patterns, design principles and best practices enhancing business solution objectives and delivery
- Define data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and security.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the data architecture team. Lead and mentor other data architects and data engineers in the development of data solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to improve data management and analytics capabilities.
- Create an inventory of the data assets, their owners, and consumers
- Develop and drive culture of standardizations in data management and tech stack
- Identify best possible design to integrate data from various source systems ensuring that non-functional aspects like security, performance, scalability, reliability, and data recovery.
- Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-10 years of experience in Data Bricks, Azure Data Bricks , Azure Data Lake , Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse
- Strong communication and business/customer facing skills
- Proficiency in data modeling, database architecture
- Knowledge of Data Bricks is a must
- Skills – Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks , Azure Data Lake , Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse .
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python/SQL .
- Experience in agile software development methodologies.
