About the job


We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Director of Infrastructure to oversee our AWS Cloud Operations, Data Centre & Network Operations, and DevOps Practice. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing cloud infrastructure, data centre operations, network management, and DevOps methodologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our IT operations, ensuring that our technology infrastructure remains scalable, secure, and efficient. You will also lead and inspire a team of skilled IT professionals, driving excellence across all areas of infrastructure management.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for AWS cloud operations, data center and network operations, and DevOps practices that aligns with the company’s business goals.
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it performs optimally, scales effectively, and remains cost-efficient.
  • Manage data center operations, including server provisioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting, to guarantee high availability and reliability.
  • Direct network operations, including LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity, ensuring seamless and secure communication across the organization.
  • Build and lead a high-performing DevOps team, focusing on automating deployment, monitoring, and management processes to enhance software delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Manage various types of databases, including relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Implement security best practices such as access controls, encryption, and auditing to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures, covering data quality, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Utilize cloud-based database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, Google Cloud SQL) to ensure scalability, reliability, and effective backup management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their technology needs and provide scalable, cost-effective solutions.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation to drive continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Apply project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects efficiently.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with AWS best practices, emerging technologies, and DevOps trends, recommending strategies for adoption to enhance innovation and competitiveness.
  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective solutions and maximize ROI.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of our IT infrastructure.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 18+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a strong focus on AWS cloud operations, data center and network operations, and DevOps practices.
  • Deep technical expertise in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudFormation), network infrastructure, and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS Code Deploy, AWS Code Pipeline), as well as scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting).
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Strategic thinker capable of translating business requirements into actionable IT initiatives.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience with Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud is a significant advantage.



Our client is a internet product company building exciting games/game formats for multi-million users, who are highly engaged with the games that we publish. The games are delivered on Android, iOS & Web (React.Js/phaser) platforms powered by a game engine and a seamless platform.
