Production Control Engineer

Position Overview:
We are embarking on an exciting journey to establish a state-of-the-art first-ever Li-ion Cell Gigafactory in India, and we are currently seeking a talented Controls Engineer with specialized proficiency in Beckhoff/Schneider/Mitsubishi systems to join our dynamic team. As a Controls Engineer with Omron expertise at our Gigafactory, you will hold a pivotal role in optimizing our manufacturing processes through the improvement and troubleshooting of existing control systems, as well as the design of future systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams of Operations, Maintenance, Production, and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure the seamless operation of our production, and Pilot Line equipment, troubleshoot any arising issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
1. Control System Enhancement and Troubleshooting: Lead efforts to improve and troubleshoot existing control systems, focusing on enhancing efficiency, reliability, and safety.
2. Future System Design: Collaborate on the design and development of advanced control systems using Beckhoff/Schneider/Mitsubishi PLCs and HMI systems for both our existing and upcoming manufacturing equipment.
3. Programming Proficiency: Exhibit mastery in writing, testing, and debugging PLC code to guarantee the efficient and secure functioning of our machinery.
4. Seamless Integration: Work in close collaboration with electrical engineers and other stakeholders to seamlessly integrate control systems into our production equipment and processes.
5. Maintenance Excellence: Execute regular maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of control systems to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
6. Continuous Enhancement: Identify and champion opportunities for process optimization and automation improvements, presenting and implementing viable solutions.
7. Meticulous Documentation: Develop and maintain thorough documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and comprehensive operating manuals.
8. Skill Transfer: Provide comprehensive training and support to operators and maintenance teams on control system operation and effective troubleshooting techniques.
9. Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all control systems strictly comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
➢ Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field.
➢ Demonstrate a proven track record in designing, improving, and troubleshooting control systems with an emphasis on Beckhoff/Schneider/Mitsubishi PLCs and HMI devices with at least 5 years of experience.
➢ Proficiency in ladder logic, Function Block, and structured text programming languages is a must. ➢ Showcase strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to control systems. ➢ Adept knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing processes.
➢ Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
➢ Uncompromising attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.
➢ Familiarity with additional PLC platforms is considered a strong advantage.
