Company Description We are a startup product development firm that specializes in creating wearables, consumer electronics, and medical devices. Clients often approach us with unique challenges that require a creative outlook and an adaptable skill set. Some products our founders have developed include Whoop 4, Whoop MG, Nuro self-driving car, and the Lumia earpiece. We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer with at least 7 to 10 years of experience. This is a client-facing role where the engineer will have the opportunity to collaborate with world-class engineers while developing novel products that may not exist in the world. Salary range for this role is ₹18,00,000 - ₹22,00,000 per annum. Within the salary range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training. Job Description You will be called upon to develop solutions at the system level as well as take on the detailed electronic design work required to realize your concept. Roles and responsibilities for this role are: Design, analyze, and validate electrical hardware including integration with complex mechanical components, for low volumes through mass production. Manage, mentor, and direct cross-disciplinary teams to conduct research, brainstorm, prototype, test, analyze, document, and present work to clients; and guide teams to win follow-on work. Share insights on promising directions for new client opportunities, provide technical support for new business development, and devise and execute strategies to meet project and client goals. Implement design changes to improve product reliability, reduce costs, and enhance performance, while ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Prototyping, debugging, and analysis using standard lab equipment and techniques. Schematic capture and PCB layout of electrical circuits for mass production using CAD and simulation tools such as Altium/Ki CAD and SPICE. Maintain thorough documentation of design changes, test results, and validation processes. Support of manufacturing and supply chain, including developing partnerships with part manufacturers and CM’s, selecting and managing external contractors, selecting and qualifying suppliers, developing functional tests, and guiding the design of automated electrical test platforms Up to 15% travel domestically and internationally to partners, suppliers, and contract manufacturers What We Are Looking For You should have experience solving tough problems within one or more of the following areas: mechatronics, structural design, dynamics, thermal engineering, fluid dynamics, optics, controls, acoustics, precision mechanical systems, product engineering, and design for manufacturing. A broad range is a plus. B. Tech (M. Tech is a plus) in electrical engineering and 7 to 10 years of full-time work experience developing complex, technical, and integrated products.
