Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
Job Purpose
The Quality Assurance Engineer monitors the software development process to ensure design quality and adherence to standards. He/She is involved in tasks that include software design, source code development, review and control, configuration management and integration of software. He/She participates in a wide range of quality assurance testing and analyses to ensure that product meets or exceeds specified quality standards and end‐user requirements before release.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or any related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) fields.
• 5+ years of experience in information technology, specifically in software engineering or testing automation roles and attaining Testing‐related certification, such as ISTQB, CMAP is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of mobile platforms (Android and i OS), mobile app development lifecycle, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Java Script (js), and Python will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks, such as Appium, XCTest, Lambda Test, Webdriver.io, Selenium, JMeter, and Azure Dev Ops Test Plan, will be an advantage.
• Previous experience in API testing using available API testing tools in the market or custom scripts.
• Ability to create reusable testing scripts that integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in writing and automating complex SQL queries and test DB code.
• Proficient in collecting, measuring, and monitoring software testing metrics for quality assurance.
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies and working in cross‐functional teams.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile and web applications.
• Conduct manual testing and automated testing using testing frameworks/tools such as Appium, XCTest, Lambda Test, Selenium or similar.
• Perform functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and compatibility testing to identify and report bugs, defects, and usability issues.
• Collaborate with cross‐functional teams including developers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality and adherence to requirements.
• Participate in agile/scrum development processes, daily stand‐ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Document and communicate test results, test coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile app testing.
• Maintain testing environments including user accounts, configs and deployments
• Work closely with Dev Ops team to integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Develop Quality Standards
• Continuous efforts to explore best practices and applies knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products and services
