Job Description: Ruby on Rails Developer

Role: Ruby on Rails Developer

Experience Required: 4+ years

Location: Gurgaon (6th Floor, One Horizon Center, Golf Course Rd, DLF Phase 5)

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Only

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in software development, with significant contributions to past projects.
  • Strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, databases, and design patterns.
  • Proficient in Ruby on Rails, with experience in Delayed Jobs, PouchDB, and web application development.
  • Knowledge of Java and related technologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with RESTful services, JavaScript/Typescript, MySQL, MongoDB, ReactJS, and cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Exposure to geolocation and mapping APIs, and DevOps practices for deployment and maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the transportation, supply chain, or logistics domain.
  • Proficiency in building and optimizing database performance.
  • Familiarity with React for front-end development, using JavaScript and AJAX for dynamic user interfaces.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and communication, engaging with both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Ability to handle ambiguous or undefined problems and think abstractly.
