Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

The Data Center Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and strategic planning of a data center. This role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and security of data center infrastructure, supporting business-critical applications and services.

. Supervise data center staff, including technicians, engineers, and contractors. Monitor and report on data center performance, capacity, and uptime. Develop and implement operational procedures, policies, and standards. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security protocols, and internal policies

Oversee data center infrastructure, including:

- Power distribution (UPS, generators, PDUs)

- Cooling systems (HVAC, air handling units)

- Networking and connectivity (routers, switches, firewalls)

- Servers, storage, and virtualization platforms

2. Plan and execute upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.

3. Troubleshoot complex technical issues, collaborating with internal teams and vendors

Develop and implement data center strategic plans, aligning with business objectives.
