Job Title: Autopilot Firmware EngineerLocation: Adibatla, HyderabadExperience: 2 to 4 YearsEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Description:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Firmware Engineer to join our Autopilot development team. In this role, you will work on autopilot stack to develop, test, and optimize flight control and embedded software for eVTOLs. You will contribute to flight feature development, bug fixes, and integration with onboard sensors and companion computers.About BluJ:BluJ Aero is formed with the vision of making Aviation 'Simpler & Sustainable'. We are working on cutting-edge Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) technologies and aim to cut down travel time for cargo and humans significantly. We are looking for passionate and ambitious people to form our core foundation team.Key Responsibilities:Develop, debug, and maintain the autopilot firmware modules using C/C++Implement and test new flight control features for multirotors and fixed-wing aircraftIntegrate sensors such as IMUs, GPS, LiDAR, and cameras into the flight stackConduct ground and flight tests to validate software changesCollaborate with flight test engineers and hardware teams on system integrationParticipate in code reviews and contribute to open-source development when applicableDocument firmware design updates and maintain configuration filesDesired Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplineStrong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded environmentsFamiliarity with PX4, ArduPilot, and related UAV software ecosystemsBasic understanding of flight dynamics, control systems, or robotics principlesExperience with Linux-based development workflows and version control (Git)Knowledge of RTOS concepts and microcontroller platforms (STM32 or similar)Good communication and debugging skillsPreferred QualificationsInternship or project experience involving UAVs or roboticsKnowledge of ROS/ROS2 for UAV system integrationHands-on experience with flight testing and tuning drone parametersWhat We OfferOpportunity to work with experienced engineers in the UAV/Aviation domainExposure to real-world flight testing and simulationGrowth path toward senior firmware or flight software engineering rolesNote: While the following qualifications are desirable, applicants do not need to possess all of them.We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.BluJ Aero is an equal-opportunity employer.
