Role Overview:
As a Technical Lead for Cloud Engineering, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions for our organization. Your expertise in cloud architecture, GCP, and related technologies will be essential in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud systems.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Design :
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design cloud solutions that align with organizational needs.
- Plan for scalability, reliability, and performance, considering GCP services and best practices.
Implementation of Cloud Services :
- Develop and deploy various GCP resources, including virtual machines, storage, databases, and networking components.
- Leverage GCP services to meet specific project requirements.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization :
- Monitor cloud resources to ensure they meet expected standards.
- Optimize configurations for cost-effectiveness and optimal user experience.
Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams :
- Work closely with developers, operations, and security teams.
- Align cloud solutions with business goals and project stakeholders’ needs.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution :
- Identify and resolve problems in the cloud system to maintain smooth operations.
Experience - 7 to 10 years
Required Skills:
GCP Expertise :
- Strong working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Kubernetes Engine.
- Familiarity with GCP networking components (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, etc.).
Programming Skills :
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Go).
- Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
Cloud Architecture and Design Patterns :
- Experience with designing scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles.
DevOps and Automation :
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
Networking and Security :
- Knowledge of virtualization, network protocols, and security best practices.
- Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) in GCP.
Containers and Orchestration :
- Understanding of containerization using Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
Additional Skills (a plus):
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Familiarity with serverless computing (Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda).
