Safety Analyst

Company Description National Logistics is an accredited freight carrier that provides reliable freight moving services across the nation. Department: Safety & Compliance Location: Remote (U.Employment Type: Full-Time The Safety Analyst is responsible for monitoring driver safety performance, tracking compliance, and supporting the Safety Director through data analysis, coaching recommendations, and proactive safety measures. This role ensures full adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations and promotes a strong safety culture across the fleet. Monitor Samsara safety alerts (mobile usage, seatbelt, speeding, inattentive driving, harsh braking, etc.). ● Review dual-facing camera footage and escalate high-risk drivers to the Safety Director. ● Track HOS violations and identify drivers needing coaching. ● Verify pre/post-trip inspections, trailer numbers, and BOL submissions. ● Send daily safety messages to drivers. ● Support remote administrative/safety tasks as needed. Review motorist complaints & incident reports and provide risk assessments. ● Support dispatch overflow on safety-related concerns. Additional safety duties may be assigned as needed. Ability to analyze data and identify risk trends. ● Ability to work independently and remotely. ● Prior transportation, logistics, or fleet safety experience. ● Familiarity with safety coaching or incident review procedures. ● Excel / reporting experience. ● CDL knowledge or trucking background is a plus. ● Experience using Samsara or similar safety/ELD platforms. ● Strong understanding of HOS rules & FMCSA/DOT compliance.
