Role: Coke Oven Operations- CDQ Shift In charge

Education: B.E/B.Tech - 6-8 years / Diploma -8-10 years in Chemical / Metallurgy Engineering (full time)


JOB PURPOSE:

* Responsible for commissioning and operations of CDQ Units and its Auxiliaries

* Responsible for all aspects of shift activities related to CDQ operations


Accountabilities & Responsibilities:


Handling CDQ Process control:

1. Monitoring and maintaining of Circulating Gas Pressure, temperature, flow rate and circulating gas composition.

2. Monitoring and maintaining Boiler inlet gas temperature.

3. Monitoring and maintaining cooled coke temperature and coke discharge rate.

4. Communicating with LOCO operator regarding hot coke charging.

5. Monitoring and maintaining BF gas flow rate to achieve required Steam flow from Boiler.

6. Monitoring and maintaining GDS parameters.

7. Reporting of any abnormalities in the parameters to the Section In-charge.

8. Co-ordination with Boiler operators for ensuring optimum Steam generation.

9. Co-ordination with MHS to ensure continuous availability of coke discharge route.

10. Monitoring Crane parameters.

11. Monitoring Plant utilities and auxiliary Equipment’s.

12. Monitoring and maintaining Chamber coke level as per the Production plan and downtimes.


Quality, Safety & Housekeeping:

*Co-ordination with battery process during Smoke pushing's, high Flame pushing's and taking decisions accordingly.

*Training of safety standards & implementing onsite for safe operations.

*Implementation of 5s standards.
