ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Merchandise Manager at KARDO DESIGN PRIVATE LIMITED in Noida. The Production Merchandise Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day merchandising operations, managing production work flows, optimising critical paths for product, ensuring all product flows are in line with planned shipment dates.

MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN GARMENT MANUFACTURING PROCESS EITHER IN FACTORY, BRAND OR BUYING HOUSE SETTING

KEY TASKS

1. Making production Time and action calendar 

2. Preparing Bill of material based on tech pack (technical sheet

3. Execution of sourcing trims / accessories 

4. Preparing production file - Prepares production file with details documents, approvals, samples and swatches and comments on sample. 

5. Conduct PP meeting with quality team and production team 

6. Giving approval of printing, embroidery production and other work process within product.

7. Execution of all wholesale and online orders 

8. Coordination with management and sometimes direct with customer if any clarification is required during production.

9. Giving clarification to production and quality team if required related to style workmanship/trims etc.

10. Coordinating with QA for initial/mid and final inspection of each style to ensure parameters met successfully.

11. Coordination with shipping and documentation department for forwarding the approved shipment.

12. Keeping track of style status and updating the same to top management and buyer representatives / agents.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Planning and coordination : Planning and coordinating production activities to meet customer orders. This includes fabric sourcing, weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes. 
  • Quality assurance : Ensuring that finished goods meet customer requirements and company standards. This includes conducting quality checks and inspections. 
  • Cost analysis : Analyzing production costs and implementing cost-saving initiatives. This includes calculating costs for garments, such as fabric consumption, trims, and transportation and logistics costs. 
  • Supplier relations : Developing strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, improve supply chain management, and resolve issues. 
  • Communication : Answering queries and communications through phone or email. 
  • Administrative duties : Carrying out necessary administrative duties as required. 
  • Project improvements : Making suggestions for improvements on elements within each project. 
  • Meeting minutes : Taking minutes of meetings for record and reference. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and oral skills in both English and Hindi.
  • 10 year experience within the garment industry in a similar position
  • Expertise in garment production management

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with production planning and vendor management
  • Knowledge of merchandising trends and market analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field
