Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Jewellery CAD Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in jewellery design, with the ability to conceptualize and develop CAD models that align with our brand's aesthetic. You will play a key role in transforming initial sketches and design concepts into precise, high-quality 3D models that can be translated seamlessly into production.
This is a part time/ internship opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the design team to interpret and translate creative ideas into technical CAD models suitable for manufacturing.
Create 3D models of jewellery pieces for daily wear, work, and festive collections, ensuring each design meets brand standards for aesthetics, functionality, and wearability.
Modify existing designs and create new variations based on market trends, customer feedback, and seasonal demand.
Ensure all CAD models maintain accuracy in terms of dimensions, structural integrity, and metal weight to support efficient production.
Produce detailed technical drawings, renderings, and 3D visuals to facilitate decision-making and communicate designs to stakeholders.
Optimize CAD files for rapid prototyping (such as 3D printing) and support the creation of physical prototypes.
Work with suppliers and production teams to ensure the designs can be manufactured at a high quality within budget and time constraints.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and innovative techniques in CAD design and jewellery manufacturing.
Qualifications:
No specific education is required, we will completely evaluate candidate on portfolio
Proficiency in CAD software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, or similar jewellery design programs.
Strong understanding of materials, including various metals and gemstones, and their applications in jewellery.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Creative problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of both aesthetic and technical aspects of jewellery design.
Knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes and experience in working with 3D printing technologies is a plus.
