Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our remote team in India. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our software products by performing thorough manual testing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to identify, document, and resolve issues, ensuring the highest quality software delivery.
As part of this role, you will collaborate with U. S.-based clients, requiring some overlap in working hours to ensure smooth communication and project alignment. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality assurance, detail-oriented, and can thrive in a fast-paced, global work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test strategies for manual testing.
Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing across web and mobile applications.
Debug and troubleshoot issues found during testing and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
Ensure that defects are properly identified, documented, and tracked using tools like JIRA.
Collaborate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, testing, and release validation.
Work closely with U. S.-based clients, ensuring overlapping work hours for effective communication and alignment.
Provide comprehensive test reports and metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and clarity in test results.
Continuously refine testing processes and adapt to new QA methodologies and tools as needed.
Desired Skills:
Manual Testing Expertise: Strong experience in functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.
Defect Tracking: Familiarity with tools like JIRA for tracking bugs and reporting issues.
Test Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear and comprehensive test cases and reports.
Environment Knowledge: Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
Basic Technical Knowledge: Understanding of database queries (SQL) and APIs for basic validation purposes.
Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with global teams and document outcomes.
Good to have:
Automation Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, and other relevant automation tools.
Mobile Automation Testing: Knowledge of testing tools for Android, i OS, and cross-platform testing.
API Testing Tools: Experience with REST Assured, j Meter, or similar tools for API testing.
Continuous Integration Tools: Experience with tools like Jenkins, Git Hub, and Bitbucket.
Manual Testing Expertise: Experience in functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on manual testing.
Experience working with U. S.-based clients and accommodating overlapping working hours.
Knowledge of testing web and mobile applications across various platforms.
A collaborative team player with a proactive approach to quality assurance.
