Position Title: Sr. Manager – Accounts & Taxation
Work Location: Mumbai, Lower Parel
Position Summary:
To oversee the accounting operations and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting, with a proven track record of managing financial teams and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all direct and Indirect tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns for Jesons group.
2.Tax Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Provide advice on tax efficiency, corporate structure, and other tax-related decisions that may impact business operations.
3.Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential tax risks, including exposure to audits and penalties.
- Conduct regular reviews of tax processes and systems to ensure the organization remains compliant and reduces the risk of errors.
4.Audit Support and Defence:
- Manage and coordinate tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.
- Prepare and support the defence of the company during audits, ensuring the company’s tax positions are properly explained.
Preferred Experience & Qualification:
- A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is typically required (CA inter).
- A master’s degree or specialized certification (e.g., CA, Tax Advisor) can be a plus.
- Extensive experience in tax management, typically at least 7 to 9 years, with significant experience in taxation in a corporate environment.
- Very strong exposure to GST.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
