Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Backend Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Framework , and Cassandra . This role focuses on building robust backend systems, ensuring high performance, and writing clean, testable code. If you have hands-on experience writing JUnit test cases and working with distributed databases, we’d love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize backend APIs and services using Java and Spring Boot .
  • Work with Cassandra to design and manage scalable, distributed data storage solutions.
  • Write comprehensive JUnit test cases to ensure code quality, coverage, and performance.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration with backend services.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to improve system performance.
  • Ensure best practices in coding standards, version control (Git), and Agile development workflows.
  • Design RESTful APIs for integration with third-party services and front-end applications.

Required Skills:

  • Strong expertise in backend development using Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Proficiency in designing and querying Cassandra for scalable, distributed databases.
  • Hands-on experience writing and executing JUnit test cases for unit testing.
  • Experience with RESTful web services development and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with tools like Git , Maven/Gradle , and Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize backend systems for reliability and performance.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes .
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for backend deployment.
