We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Senior Commercial Director and General Manager to join our client within the APAC region, located in either Singapore, India, or the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing businesses in an international sales environment and with complex product portfolios. You will bring extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new business opportunities and cultivate a people development and continuous improvement mindset within the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop a strong growth strategy for the APAC region, in alignment with the company objectives
- Spearhead profitable expansion and fortify market presence within the APAC region, assuming accountability for profit and loss
- Take charge of sub-regional operations to fulfil both short and long-term financial and operational aims
- Supervise project initiatives and Life Cycle services, ensuring meticulous planning and execution
- Solicit and analyze customer feedback while assessing market dynamics and competitors
- Identify and capitalize on the 80 to 20strategy to drive growth
- Uphold the core values of the organization, emphasizing safety, diversity, equity, and sustainability
- Lead and nurture teams, providing guidance and mentorship
- Leverage internal platforms for streamlined operations
- Champion continuous improvement efforts and acknowledge noteworthy achievements
Qualifications :
- +10 years of professional B2B experience as Managing Director, Sales Director or similar within an international corporation
- Engineering degree or similar, MBA is an advantage
- Strong experience in people and revenue management
- Demonstrated achievements in setting up and executing sales strategies to drive business growth
- Documented financial proficiency, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and business metrics
- Expertise in coaching, fostering talent development, and navigating change management
- Willingness to undertake travel
- Fluency in English – any additional language is advantageous
