Experience: Minimum 15 years
Education: BE/Masters in Mechanical Engineering/Related.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the manufacturing of molds for plastic injection parts and stamp tools.
- Manage and lead a team of toolmakers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Ensure production schedules are met, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and optimize tool shop processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all tools and moulds meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities for all tool shop equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to tooling and machinery.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring availability to meet production needs.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for toolmakers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements, integrating new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
- Enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Work closely with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Production) to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers as needed to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience in toolmaking and tool shop management, particularly in the production of moulds for plastic injection parts and stamp tools.
- Strong knowledge of toolmaking processes, materials, and equipment.
- Proficient in using CAD/CAM software and other relevant technical tools.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in the toolmaking industry.
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team of skilled toolmakers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to make informed decisions quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Additional -Arabic preferred)
