Java + AWS solutions architect will work directly with Sales leaders to identify the client's business objectives and develop cloud-based solutions to support them. Based on the requirements, the solution architect strategizes the most efficient system possible and works on the implementation of this system while keeping in mind the current scale requirements as well as the anticipated growth of the solution.
Role and Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing, and maintaining complex cloud-based solutions using AWS cloud services while ensuring that the solution meets the needs of the business and is aligned with best practices and industry standards.
Responsible for creating and executing the technical strategy alongside sales and business development as we work to delight our Enterprise customers through a deep relationship with AWS.
As a key member of the Solution Architecture team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform, Build cloud systems; Assist with cloud migration practices;
Partner with customers and several AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that provide solutions to solve customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community including authoring or otherwise contributing to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and blogs
Ensuring that solutions are scalable, resilient, and highly available to meet customer needs.
Providing guidance and technical leadership to other team members. Staying up to date with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
Participating in the development of best practices and standards for AWS based java solution development and implementation.
Develop and maintain robust and scalable application architectures. Conduct performance tuning and optimization to ensure applications run efficiently. Implement security measures, manage patches, and address vulnerabilities.
Identify opportunities for automation and develop scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
Desired Skills:
Over 14 years of experience in designing and implementing end-to-end applications, over cloud platforms.
Experience with back-end technologies: Microservice architecture, Java 8, Spring Boot Admin, Spring Batch, Spring Integration.
Experiences with Test driven development methodologies such as Junit & BDD
Languages/Frameworks: Java 8/11+, Spring, SpringBoot, Hibernate
Databases: Relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB).
Microservices: Experience with microservices architecture,
Messaging systems: RabbitMQ/Kafka, IBM MQ.
APIs: RESTful services, experience with or interest in GraphQL and gRPC would be nice.
Familiarity with CICD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Git, SVN, Jenkins 2, Maven
Familiarity with Configuration management tools: Terraform, Ansible
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications in AWS solution architect shall be preferred.
Experience with other public cloud platforms (Azure / GCP) will be added advantage
