Role Overview
As an Associate Product Solutions Engineer at Zippin, you'll be the technical backbone of our customer-facing operations. You'll own relationships with Customer Success, Maintenance, and Development teams, focusing on optimizing support processes, implementing new stores, and solving complex technical challenges in checkout-free environments.
Schedule and Work Hours
- This position operates on US timezone hours to align with our primary market and internal teams.
- Flexible work schedule: Five-day work week with two weekdays off, to be determined in collaboration with your manager.
- Standard work week includes weekend days to ensure continuous support for our retail partners
- Flexibility to occasionally adjust hours for critical issues or project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve complex technical problems through advanced methods like scripting and automation
- Remotely configure and manage networked equipment for new store implementations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of AI, network, and hardware issues
- Serve as a technical escalation point, managing support processes and tools
- Provide technical solutions and training to internal teams and external customers
- Contribute to knowledge base development and process improvement
- Research and implement solutions to retailer problems
- Influence product improvements based on user feedback and data analysis
Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience in Product Support Engineering, Network Engineering, or System Administration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong Linux knowledge and experience with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation techniques
- Extensive experience with ticket management systems (Zendesk, Jira)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with various compute architectures, including low-power devices
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong English writing skills.
- Experience maintaining complex IT systems in retail or e-commerce environments

- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routers, switches, firewalls)
