E / M. Tech / in GIS and Remote Sensing (Geo-Informatics) and having additional MBA degree is an added advantageJob Responsibilities:1. Gather and Analyze Business Requirements: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs, painpoints, and expectations. Translate these into clearly defined GIS-based requirements.2. Conduct Stakeholder Workshops and Interviews: Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews with end-users, domain experts, and technical teams to gather insights and requirements for GIS solutions.3. Document Functional and Non-Functional Requirements: Prepare business requirement documents (BRD), functionalrequirement specifications (FRS), user stories, and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and alignment between businessand GIS teams.4. Liaise Between Technical Teams and Business Users: Function as a bridge between GIS developers, data analysts, andbusiness users. Ensure the technical team understands the business context, and the business team understands thetechnical solution.5. Design GIS Workflows and Business Processes: Develop or optimize spatial workflows that align with businessprocesses. Create process maps, use-case diagrams, and workflow charts using tools like Visio or Lucid chart.6. Assist in GIS Solution Design: Collaborate with the GIS architect or technical team to ensure the solution design meetsbusiness objectives. Review UI mockups, database schema, and system architecture.7. Supporting GIS Data Analysis and Reporting: Help in defining the data model, identifying data sources, validatingspatial data quality, and developing reports, dashboards, or maps that provide actionable business insights.8. Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Define test cases based on requirements and coordinate UAT withstakeholders. Ensure the final GIS application meets the agreed-upon specifications before deployment.9. Support Change Management and User Training: Create training materials, user manuals, and conduct training sessionsto onboard users. Help manage the transition to the new GIS platform or updated system.10. Monitor Project Progress and Ensure Deliverables: Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables. Coordinate withproject managers and development teams to ensure timely delivery and resolution of issues.11. Ensure Data Governance and Standards Compliance: Ensure GIS solutions follow organizational standards, datagovernance policies, and regulatory requirements. Maintain metadata, naming conventions, and symbology standards.12. Evaluate and Recommend GIS Tools and Technologies: Research and evaluate GIS software, tools, and platforms thatalign with business needs. Provide recommendations on upgrades, new tools, or integration options.13. Conduct Market or Industry Research: Analyze trends in geospatial technology, regulatory changes, or industry practicesthat could influence the business or GIS system usage.14. Support Integration with Enterprise Systems: Assist in integrating GIS with other systems like ERP, CRM, SCADA, orasset management platforms for a unified business solution
