Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead and facilitate agile transformation initiatives within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) , Agile methodologies , and a strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). As a Senior Scrum Master, you will drive the adoption of Agile principles, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Facilitation & Coaching :
Act as a servant leader and mentor to multiple Scrum teams, helping them embrace Agile principles and practices.
Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives).
Foster an environment of trust and collaboration to ensure the teams are self-organizing and empowered.
Provide guidance to teams on Agile processes, ensuring alignment with SAFe and Agile methodologies.
SAFe Implementation :
Guide teams in the application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for delivering solutions at scale.
Work closely with Program and Release Train Engineers (RTE) to ensure alignment of team-level goals with overall program objectives.
Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions, assisting teams in defining features, stories, and program priorities.
Stakeholder Management :
Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
Act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow of information and expectations.
Provide status updates and metrics (velocity, burn-down, etc.) to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement :
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring teams regularly reflect on their processes and make adjustments as needed.
Champion the removal of impediments and risks that could hinder the team’s ability to deliver on time and within scope.
Support teams in improving quality practices, ensuring that the SDLC is optimized for speed and efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and deliver business value.
Ensure effective communication between teams, stakeholders, and leadership on Agile progress, roadblocks, and challenges.
SDLC Knowledge :
Maintain a deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and apply it to Agile processes to ensure successful project delivery.
Work with teams to ensure that technical debt, quality issues, and dependencies are managed effectively during the sprint cycles.
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with proven success in leading and coaching multiple Agile teams.
Strong experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) , having worked in environments implementing SAFe at scale.
Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and SDLC processes.
Experience working in cross-functional teams and complex, fast-moving environments.
Proven track record of managing Agile teams through the full SDLC, from concept to delivery.
Certifications :
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification required.
Additional Agile-related certifications (e.g., CSPO , Advanced CSM , Agile Coaching Certification ) a plus.
Skills :
Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence and motivate teams without authority.
Solid understanding of software development and quality assurance processes.
Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, Version One, etc.).
Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executive leadership.
Additional Attributes :
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities.
Focused on delivering value to customers and continuously improving team performance.
Demonstrated ability to drive Agile maturity across teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in large-scale, enterprise-level Agile transformations.
Familiarity with Dev Ops principles and practices.
Background in software engineering or technical roles.
