Position: Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Design , implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructures using Terraform and automation tools.
  • Lead efforts to integrate security controls at every stage of the CI/CD pipeline .
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of applications in AWS environments.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and configuration management with Ansible .
  • Design and implement security best practices across the deployment lifecycle to ensure secure, scalable cloud architectures.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS (including EC2, RDS, IAM, VPC, S3, Route53, Auto Scaling, CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins , GitLab CI , Argo CD , etc.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling to simplify processes and reduce the risk of errors, including Python and Bash scripting.
  • Implement and oversee cloud security measures to safeguard applications, data, and infrastructure.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify vulnerabilities.
  • Integrate security tools such as static code analysis , vulnerability scanning , and SAST/DAST into the pipeline.
  • Enforce compliance with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001 , SOC 2 , GDPR ).
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on security best practices and infrastructure automation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of 5+ years as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins , GitLab CI , and Argo CD .
  • Expertise in containerization technologies like Docker , Kubernetes .
  • Proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Route53, RDS, CloudWatch, ELB, Auto Scaling).
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or AWS SSM .
  • Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions.
  • Strong background in security best practices and implementing DevSecOps principles across the software lifecycle.
  • Expertise in cloud security tools and practices (e.g., SAST , DAST , IAM management).
  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SOC 2 , ISO 27001 , GDPR ).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certifications in DevOps, Security, or Networking.
  • Terraform Certification .
  • Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance audits .
  • Advanced knowledge of networking in AWS, including VPCs, VPNs, and security groups.
