Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Packaging Specialist to manage and enhance the packaging processes for our cosmetic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing and developing packaging materials, quality assurance, vendor management, and importing packaging components from suppliers, particularly from China. Strong knowledge of packaging components, including bottles, labels, sleeves, and aerosol packaging, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Packaging Material Sourcing & Development: Source, evaluate, and select materials (bottles, jars, caps, tubes, aerosol valves) in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams.
Import & Supplier Management: Manage the import process for packaging materials from China (samples sourcing, air/sea shipping, customs clearance, delivery). Build strong relationships with suppliers and vendors for packaging components.
Quality Assurance & Control: Oversee packaging quality, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with standards for all packaging materials (mono cartons, labels, sleeves, etc.).
Vendor & Shipping Coordination: Maintain strong ties with bottle manufacturers, printers, and shipping/transportation departments to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Sustainability & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process efficiency, and sustainable packaging solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3 to 6 years of experience in packaging for cosmetics/FMCG.
Expertise in packaging materials sourcing, quality control, and vendor management.
Knowledge of aerosol packaging components, including valves and actuators.
Strong network with suppliers and shipping/transportation contacts, especially from China.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience in printing processes for mono cartons, labels, and sleeves.
Understanding of sustainability practices in packaging and regulatory compliance.
