Designation: Team Lead – Mid Corporate Credit
Job Location - Mumbai / Chennai / Delhi
About the role
- You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive Credit Appraisal, Underwriting, and approval of Emerging / Mid Corporate as anchors for supply chain finance products for on balance sheet and off-balance sheet purchase bill discounting/sales bill discounting / Vendor finance.
- Manage team of credit underwriters and credit processing associates. Reviewing and Managing the SCF Anchors.
- Identify and analyze potential credit risks within loan applications, evaluating collateral, financial statements, credit history, and other relevant factors.
Responsibilities
- Detailed understanding of business model of, and credit risk for manufacturers, services, and trading across industries.
- Detailed understanding of working capital assessment.
- Basic Understanding of supply chain finance products sales bill discounting, purchase bill discounting. (Desirable)
- Perform field visits, promoter discussion for credit underwriting of customers wherever required or preparing credit manager for diligence by giving pre diligence directions.
- Presentation to Credit committee wherever required or preparing credit manager for the credit committee presentation.
- Review, screen, and allocate cases to CPAs, and credit managers.
- Track overall credit pipeline for onboarding of the customers
- Review the working of CPAs and credit managers so that customer onboarding is done in a timely manner and submitted for approvals.
- Engage with the Business team to on the case logins, approvals, and structuring.
- Monitoring/Renewal of the active customers periodically through PD, visits, covenant tracking, visiting delinquent customers to understand the causes and provide appropriate inputs for the policy improvements.
- Proactively review the issues in the credit vertical in terms of process, policy, product and engage with stakeholders Business, Credit, Ops to solve the issues.
- Proposing changes for the credit policy, processes, and loan origination systems to improve overall underwriting and monitoring process.
- Support operations to issue sanction letter, reviewing pre disbursal credit conditions
Decision Making
- Approval of the proposals.
- Reviewing and rating credit managers and CPAs.
- Structuring the Supply Chain finance products with the customers.
- Reviewing and providing necessary approvals.
Desired skill set
- MBA / CA with 6 - 10 years' experience in Mid Corporate, Emerging Corporate, Medium & large enterprises Lending –WCDL/CC/Supply Chain Finance/Term Loan from NBFC (preferred) / Banks.
- Experience in assessing credit worthiness of borrower based on various qualitative and quantitative factors.
- Periodic review of portfolio in accordance with current Industry scenario and recent RBI Circular, making amendments to Policy accordingly.
- Experience working with data analytics team to develop insights into credit risk trends, identify emerging risks, and optimize credit risk management strategies.
- Highly driven and motivated individual with ability to get hands-on where required.
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-levels.
- Ability to motivate and develop a strong team.
- Problem solving approach.
