We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Word Press Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Word Press themes, plugins, and the overall architecture of the CMS platform. As a Word Press Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Word Press websites, ensuring they are responsive, optimized, and meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Word Press Development & Design : Build custom Word Press themes and plugins, ensuring they are optimized, secure, and scalable.
Website Maintenance : Regularly update and maintain existing Word Press websites, ensuring they are running smoothly and are free from bugs or security vulnerabilities.
Customization & Optimization : Customize themes and plugins to meet specific client needs, optimizing site performance for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
Collaboration : Work with the design and content teams to implement website layouts, navigation, and other elements that align with the brand’s vision.
Content Management : Assist clients with content updates and ensure the site’s content management system is user-friendly for non-technical users.
Security & Backups : Implement security best practices, including regular backups, security updates, and monitoring for potential threats.
Client Support : Provide technical support to clients, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.
SEO & Analytics : Ensure Word Press sites are optimized for search engines and integrate with analytics tools to track performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience with Word Press development (custom themes, plugins, etc.).
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, Java Script, PHP, and My SQL.
Experience with popular Word Press page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first web development.
Experience with website performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, image compression).
Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools (e.g., Yoast, Google Analytics).
Familiarity with website security practices and tools.
Experience integrating third-party APIs and services into Word Press.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with e Commerce platforms (e.g., Woo Commerce, Easy Digital Downloads).
Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with advanced Word Press frameworks (e.g., Genesis, Underscores).
Ability to write custom Java Script/j Query for enhanced functionality.
Familiarity with website accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
Education and Experience:
2-4 years of experience in Word Press development or a related role.
