About Us: Capabuilder is an innovative startup on a mission to develop functional, development-focused toys for infants aged 0-2. Our vision is to design products that foster early childhood growth, including gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and teething comfort, emphasising safe, sustainable materials.
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced co-founder with a strong design and brand development background to bring our vision to life.
Role Overview: As the Co-Founder and Head of Design & Brand Development, you will lead the creative direction and oversee all aspects of product design, brand identity, and user experience for Capabuilder. You’ll play a vital role in shaping our product line and establishing Capabuilder as a trusted brand for infant development tools and toys.
Responsibilities:
1) Lead the end-to-end design process for infant toys, from concept and prototyping to final product delivery.
2) Develop a unique brand identity that resonates with parents and aligns with our mission to support early childhood development.
3) Collaborate closely with product development teams to ensure designs are functional, safe, and tailored to infant developmental needs.
4) Research and identify sustainable materials and innovative approaches to create safe, engaging, and eco-friendly products.
5) Partner with the marketing team to effectively communicate our brand story across various channels.
6) Conduct market research to stay ahead of design trends and ensure products meet consumer needs and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
1) Proven experience in product design, industrial design, or a related field, ideally focusing on infant and children’s products.
2) Strong understanding of brand development, with the ability to create cohesive and impactful brand experiences.
3) A keen eye for detail and a passion for designing safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing products.
4) Experience in materials research, particularly with sustainable and child-safe options.
5) An entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a willingness to work hands-on in a startup environment.
6) A shared commitment to our mission of supporting infant growth and development.
