Specific Skills:

  • Looking for 6+ years experienced candidates
  • Ability to assess and ensure data quality throughout the ETL process
  • Experience in identifying and handling data anomalies, duplicates, and inconsistencies
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and practices
  • Strong SQL skills for querying databases and verifying data transformations
  • Experience in testing APIs for data retrieval and integration
  • Proficiency in tools such as Postman or SoapUI for API testing
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, including integration testing, system testing, and regression testing
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python) for automation of testing processes
  • Experience in designing and executing test scenarios and test cases
  • Proficient in data profiling techniques to understand source and target data characteristics
  • Ability to analyze data mappings and transformations
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts
  • Ability to clearly articulate testing processes, findings, and recommendations
  • Experience in using defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira) to log, track, and manage issues


Other “Nice to have” skills/ experience:

  • Experience in automating ETL test cases for efficiency


Details of duties to be performed:

  • Support Test lead for developing ETL test plans outlining testing strategies, scope, and resource requirements
  • Execute ETL test cases, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
  • Design and execute test cases for APIs involved in data integration
  • Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing
  • Create and maintain testing documentation for reference
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
