Role Overview :
The Business Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will manage budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and risk management while aligning with the company's growth objectives in the chemical distribution industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Planning and Analysis :
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Provide insights and strategies for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Accounting and Reporting :
Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
Compliance and Risk Management :
Ensure adherence to tax regulations, GST filings, and other statutory compliance requirements.
Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
Cash Flow Management :
Optimize working capital and monitor cash flow to ensure business liquidity.
Manage vendor and client payment cycles effectively.
VC Stakeholder Communication :
Prepare financial performance reports and updates for investors and stakeholders.
Support due diligence for funding rounds and M&A activities.
Team Leadership :
Build and mentor a finance team to support the organization’s scaling needs.
Key Qualifications :
Education : Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification.
Experience : 8-10 years in finance and compliance roles, preferably in a VC-funded or B2 B sector.
Technical Skills : Proficient in financial software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or Quick Books) and advanced Excel.
Knowledge : Strong understanding of Indian tax laws, regulatory frameworks, and financial best practices.
Personal Attributes :
Strategic mindset with an ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solving approach and attention to detail.
