Job Title: Fashion Designer – Men's Casual Bottoms  Location: Bangalore, India Employment Type: Full-Time Manufacturing Unit: PAN ASIA, Bangladesh About Us: PAN ASIA is a leading manufacturing unit based in  Bangladesh , specializing in high-quality men's casual bottoms for leading brands and retailers. We are looking for an experienced and innovative Fashion Designer to join our team, based in  Bangalore , to design an entire range of men's casual bottoms. The designer will play a critical role in creating stylish and market-ready collections, specifically targeting  Indian fashion brands and retailers . Key Responsibilities: Design Development: Design a complete range of  men's casual bottoms including chinos, joggers, shorts, and cargos, specifically tailored for the  Indian market . Stay updated on the latest trends, consumer preferences, and styles that resonate with  Indian brands and retailers . Develop collections that meet the commercial needs of the Indian retail sector while ensuring a  balance between style and functionality . Market Research: Conduct thorough research on  Indian consumer preferences ,  fashion trends , and  competitive brands . Integrate region-specific styles, colors, and fabrics that appeal to  Indian customers . Analyze the offerings of leading Indian retailers to align design strategies with market demands. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the  Bangladesh-based manufacturing unit (PAN ASIA)to ensure that designs are optimized for production. Work with  buyers, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure product viability, cost efficiency, and adherence to production timelines. Partner with  fabric suppliers to source suitable materials that meet quality and sustainability requirements, while being cost-effective for Indian retailers. Range Planning & Execution: Develop the complete  seasonal collection from concept to finished product, ensuring timely delivery to the Indian market. Prepare detailed  tech packs ,  specifications , and  technical drawings for production teams in Bangladesh. Conduct  fittings , make necessary revisions, and ensure that final products meet both  fit and quality standards . Sustainability & Innovation: Ensure that the designs incorporate  sustainable materials and  eco-friendly processes . Explore  innovative textile technologies and fabric finishes that enhance comfort and durability. Align with PAN ASIA’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its manufacturing processes. Quality Control: Ensure all garments are produced to the highest quality, focusing on  fit ,  fabric durability , and  construction . Oversee sampling and production runs to ensure that designs are executed precisely as planned. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field. 5+ years of experience in designing men's casual wear, with a focus on  bottoms (chinos, shorts, joggers, etc.). Experience designing for the  Indian market and strong understanding of local consumer preferences and style trends. Proficiency in  Adobe Illustrator ,  Photoshop ,  CAD software , and other design tools. Experience in developing  technical packages and working with offshore production units. Knowledge of  fabric selection , garment construction, and  sustainability standards . Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally with teams in different locations. Strong  communication and  presentation skills . Preferred Experience: Familiarity with  Indian retail giants and experience designing for well-known  Indian brands . Prior experience working with  Bangladesh-based manufacturing units or other international manufacturers is a plus. Understanding of the  Indian retail landscape and  pricing strategies for large-scale distribution.
