Vendor Relations Specialist

Role: Vendor Management
Experience Range: 6 – 8 Years
Location: Bengaluru/Chennai
Must Have:
Vendor Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors.
Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and vendors.
Facilitate communication between internal IT teams and external vendors.
2. Contract Management:
Negotiate, review, and manage IT contracts with vendors, ensuring terms and conditions meet organizational needs.
Ensure vendors comply with service level agreements (SLAs) and contract terms.
Monitor contract renewals, terminations, and amendments.
3. Performance Monitoring:
Track vendor performance against agreed SLAs and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and report on findings to stakeholders.
Implement corrective actions for underperforming vendors.
4. Risk Management:
Identify potential risks in vendor relationships and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure vendors meet regulatory and compliance requirements, such as data privacy and cybersecurity standards.
Conduct risk assessments of vendors, especially for critical IT services.
5. Procurement and Cost Management:
Collaborate with procurement teams to select and onboard new IT vendors.
Negotiate pricing and cost structures to ensure competitive and cost-effective services.
Monitor vendor-related expenses and maintain budget controls.
6. Strategic Planning:
Align vendor management strategies with organizational goals and IT objectives.
Develop strategies for vendor consolidation or optimization to streamline services and reduce costs.
Participate in technology evaluations and the selection of vendors for new IT initiatives.

Issue Resolution:
Serve as an escalation point for vendor-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve service disruptions or contract disputes.
Document and track vendor issues and resolutions for continuous improvement.
Essential:
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
Proficient in managing multiple vendors and balancing competing priorities.
Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, software development, and security practices.
Strong experience in vendor management or procurement, preferably in the IT industry.
Knowledge of IT services, software, hardware, and emerging technologies.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with contract law and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO standards).
Experience with tools like IT vendor management software, procurement systems, and contract management platforms.
Minimum Qualification:
•15 years of full-time education
•Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
