Enterprise ETL and BI – Testing (5 to 9 years) for Pune/ Bangalore/Gurgaon/Hyderabad/Noida
Role & Responsibilities at job:
Understand Business Requirements to define a Test Strategy and Plan
Design Test Scenarios and Test Cases and Prepare test data, if required
Create SQL queries for ETL and BI testing for Data Warehousing and Reporting projects
Execute Test Cases and document results as per defined templates, using Test Management tool
Execute ETL workflows and validate data in target tables as per business rules
Log and Track defects in Defect Management tool and prepare status reports to share status with stakeholders
Deliver project tasks as per defined process and quality standards
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other team members, leaders and client stakeholders
Conduct Performance and Security Testing; contribute towards Automation Testing (using Java / Python / Selenium)
Lead Quality Engineering / Software Testing Life Cycle in the project / workstream
Work in fast paced development environment, interacting with project owners, business analysts, testers, developers, and stakeholders across organization
Logical Thinking – Able to think analytically, use a systematic and logical approach to analyse data, problems, and situations. Notices discrepancies and inconsistencies in information and materials.
Communication – Able to convey ideas, information clearly and accurately to self or others (in writing or verbal).
Task Management – Knowledge of STLC and should be able to plan tasks, discuss and work on priorities.
Required Experience:
6-9 years of Datawarehouse and BI Testing experience, with strong exposure to database and "data-oriented testing". Testing experience on any of the BI tools like PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik Sense will be preferred. Strong working knowledge & concepts clarity on Databases (Data Warehousing will be preferred)
Experience in working on AWS / Azure platform is preferred
Working experience in test planning, test case designing and test execution for Pharma / Healthcare data with GxP projects (Database Testing/ETL Testing/DWH) is preferred
Experience in Database, ETL & BI testing
Should have functional knowledge on data quality, DWH verification and validation procedures
Thorough out the project in various iterations / sprints – conducted system testing, integration testing, functional testing, and integration testing.
Developed complex SQL queries for querying data against different data bases for data verification process.
Prepared the Test Plan and Testing Strategies for Data Warehousing and BI Applications.
Developed ETL test scripts based on design / technical specifications and Source to Target mappings.
Strong hands-on experience with STLC - Translated system requirements into test scenarios and scripts, written test cases / scripts, and coordinated reviews/approvals of those test scripts. Executed test scripts. Defined and tracked quality issues / defects effectively.
Extensively used and developed SQL scripts/queries in backend testing of Databases.
Extracted data from various structured and unstructured sources.
Worked on issues with migration of Data from development to QA-Test Environment.
Working knowledge of AI/ML projects, with good understanding of Generative AI Testing, will be preferred.
Working knowledge of Reltio, with hands-on experience in MDM testing, will be preferred.
Working knowledge of Pharma data sources like IQVIA, Veeva, Symphony, etc.
Good Understanding of Pharma business processes like alignment, market definition, segmentation, sales crediting, activity metrics calculation; calculation of all sales, activity and managed care KPIs
Qualification: B-Tech / BE / Postgraduate
