General Summary:

The Jira Administrator is responsible for supporting the maintenance and administration of the Jira and Confluence platforms for the organization. This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure the system is running smoothly and accurately.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Product and Engineering teams, with a high attention to detail
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
  • May coach and review the work of other team members
  • Provides quality system support and associated plug-in integrations
  • Manages upgrades, patches, and necessary performance updates
  • Provides user permissions based on the needs of other departments
  • Develops and maintains technical and user-facing documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Provides technical support for user management, creating custom Jira dashboards, projects, issues, queries, workflows, and reports
  • Manages end-to-end projects including documentation
  • Partners with stakeholders to define requirements for advanced customizations, automations, and workflows
  • Provides recommendations to users and management on best practices and standardization


Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:


  • Advanced knowledge of Atlassian Suite (Jira + Confluence on Data Center and Cloud)
  • Good knowledge of Scripting (JavaScript, SQL)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement projects and processes
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate, collaborate, and partner with colleagues across the organization, regardless of level
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to resolve complex issues
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written


Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience


Working Conditions:

Hybrid depending on location (Pune/Mumbai/Bangalore)

0-20% travel may be required
