Job Summary: We are seeking an innovative and experienced (12+ year) Education Technology Architect to join our team. The Education Technology Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions that enhance the educational experience for students and educators. This role involves working closely with educational leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure technology initiatives align with educational goals and improve learning outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


Technology Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement an overarching educational technology strategy that aligns with the institution's educational goals and objectives.
  • Identify emerging educational technologies and evaluate their potential impact on teaching and learning.

System Design and Implementation:

  • Design and oversee the implementation of technology solutions for classrooms, online learning environments, and administrative functions.
  • Ensure technology systems are scalable, secure, and integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and IT teams to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Work with vendors and external partners to procure and implement appropriate technology solutions.

Professional Development and Training:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for educators and staff to effectively use educational technologies.
  • Provide ongoing support and resources to ensure technology is used effectively in the classroom and administrative settings.

Data Management and Analytics:

  • Implement systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting to support educational decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in data security.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with trends in educational technology and continually seek ways to improve technology solutions and implementations.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of educational technology systems.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technical issues to minimize disruptions to educational activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Education Technology Architect, IT Architect, or similar role within an educational setting.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), student information systems (SIS), and other educational technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions and digital learning tools.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of educational technology trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in systems architecture, integration, and implementation.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in education technology or related fields.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and online course development.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
