About the Role:
As an Associate Accountant, your responsibilities will include managing accounts receivable and payable, recording financial transactions, preparing financial statements, reconciliations. You will also be responsible for assisting with general administrative tasks related to the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
· Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
· Collaborate with other departments to gather information for budgeting and forecasting activities.
· Support in conducting month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
· Assist in timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management.
· Assist to prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
· Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the organization.
· Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
· Provide necessary documentation and support during audit processes.
· Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations.
· Support decision-making processes by providing relevant financial information.
· Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
· Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and customer payments.
· Update the cash-flow sheet with all impending expenses and update the same on Tally
· Update the ‘Payroll data sheet’ for U.S. and Global employees expense reimbursement and other pay-out information on Enact’s Global payroll software.
· Follow-up for payments with internal stakeholders and external customers etc. ( some could be based in the U.S.), we may need your support to call and follow-up on the same.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
· Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a corporate setting.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
· Available to travel to office in Whitefield, BLR once or twice a week
