Job Description: Senior Sales Engineer / Area Manager – ASRS and Automation Solutions
Position: Senior Sales Engineer/Area Manager
Location: Pune
Department: Sales and Business Development
Reporting To: Director Sales
Experience Required: 3-5 years in sales of industrial automation solutions, ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), or related technologies.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate with engineering background to lead the sales efforts for our ASRS and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in identifying, engaging, and closing deals with customers in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, warehousing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Execution
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Identify and qualify potential customers through research, networking, and lead generation on field sales.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting.
2. Customer Engagement
Understand customer pain points and business challenges to propose tailored automation solutions.
Conduct detailed presentations and demonstrations of ASRS and automation solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.
3. Proposal Development and Negotiation
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and technical solutions.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers while ensuring company profitability.
Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
4. Market and Competitor Analysis
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
Provide feedback to the product development team to enhance offerings.
5. Collaboration and Reporting
Work closely with technical teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery of solutions.
Regularly update CRM systems and provide detailed reports to management.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
MBA in Sales/Marketing (preferred).
2. Experience:
3-5 years of experience in selling ASRS, industrial automation, or related solutions.
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
3. Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of ASRS, robotics, and industrial automation solutions.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system requirements.
Proficient in using CRM tools, MS Office, and presentation software.
4. Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build rapport with diverse customer profiles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Happy to travel extensively in the market for selling and business development activities.
Preferred Knowledge:
Familiarity with warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
Understanding of ROI and cost-benefit analysis for automation solutions.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
