Role Overview:
You will play a pivotal role in managing patent prosecution initiatives for esteemed technology companies and industry experts across diverse sectors including Software, AI/ML, Wireless Communication, Networking, and Semiconductors. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate innovation roadmaps and safeguard intellectual property through meticulous prosecution of patent applications.
Job description:
Manage a team of 5-6 individuals in providing patent prosecution support to companies and IP counsel
Ensure smooth planning and execution of simultaneous multiple project deliveries
Must have had an experience of delivering client ready responses
Carry out critical individual assignments as well as work as a project manager with teams, i.e., review team’s work and ensure quality and timelines
Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the team, providing mentorship and support to elevate team members' skills and expertise
Stay abreast of evolving USPTO/MPEP case laws and regulatory changes, imparting knowledge to the team and ensuring compliance in all patent-related activities
Manage email correspondence and actively participate in attorney calls to facilitate effective communication and alignment between stakeholders
Desired Skillset:
Knowledge of USPTO, EPO, and Indian Patent Office guidelines and case laws
Proficiency in US patent prosecution across a spectrum of technology domains
Excellent written and verbal communication (an absolute must)
Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion
Ability to quickly understand and grasp complex/cutting-edge technologies within Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, etc.
Desire to deliver the best work product within set timelines
Experience in reviewing teams’ work to ensure quality and timely project delivery
Education/Professional Qualification and Work Experience:
Bachelors/ Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science
IP Experience: 6-8 years
