About the job
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in data projects, cloud data warehousing, and understanding on data architectures. As a Snowflake SE, you will be responsible for development, code review, unit testing, deployment and implementation of data mappings using Snowflake, supporting QA team. You will collaborate closely with Tech Lead and Scrum Master ensure developments, requirements, deliverables are accurate, accessible, and secure.

Responsibilities
Following are the day-to-day work activities:
- Understanding the Business requirements of the project.
- Assist in the design and implementation of Snowflake solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaborate with team members, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements and ensure data quality and integrity.
- Design and Develop Data pipelines, mappings, coding using Snowflake.
- Work with various data formats such as XML, JSON, and CSV to load and manage data from different sources.
- Support Snowflake performance optimization by assisting with query tuning and storage optimization under supervision.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot basic data issues, escalating more complex problems to senior team members.
- Participate in research and POCs (Proof of Concepts) to demonstrate capabilities of Snowflake.
- Work with both onsite and offshore teams and contribute to project execution.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related.
- Basic understanding of Snowflake architecture, SQL, and data modelling concepts.
- Exposure to ETL tools (Informatica) and a basic understanding of data integration techniques.
- Exposure on working with various data formats such as XML, JSON, and CSV to load and manage data from different sources.
- Familiarity with core data warehousing concepts, such as data lakes and multi-dimensional models.
- Strong desire to develop problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic Snowflake or AWS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Good to have knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala is preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is an added advantage.
