Sales Director for State Government Growth

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to lead and drive our state government business across the North and East regions in India. This is a pivotal role that will play a crucial part in expanding our market presence and achieving significant revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Execute Sales Strategy: Develop a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate and capture market share in the North and East regions, leveraging your expertise and knowledge of the government procurement process.
- Lead High-Performing Sales Team: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team to achieve aggressive sales targets, focusing on building strong relationships with key decision-makers at the state government level.
- Pursue New Business Opportunities: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with state government departments and agencies, utilizing your analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify areas for improvement.
- Cultivate Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the state government level, ensuring timely and accurate deal execution.
- Track Performance Metrics: Track and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions, driving the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record of success in leading and managing large sales teams in the government sector, particularly state governments.
- Government Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of the government procurement process, tendering procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with government officials at various levels.
- MBA or Equivalent Degree: MBA or equivalent degree preferred, demonstrating a high level of business acumen and strategic thinking.
