About the Role

This is a full-time on-site position for a High-Performance Unity Game Developer at str8bat. We are seeking an experienced developer with a strong focus on optimization to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-performance applications and games that run smoothly across multiple platforms, leveraging Unity's performance optimization techniques to enhance the user experience.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create immersive and engaging gaming experiences for cricket enthusiasts.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize Unity applications and games
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve rendering efficiency, memory usage, and frame rate
  • Profile and analyze code to identify areas for optimization, including CPU and GPU performance
  • Implement advanced optimization techniques, such as occlusion culling, level of detail (LOD) systems, and asset bundling
  • Optimize shaders and materials to achieve visually stunning results while maintaining optimal performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Unity features and best practices for optimization
  • Conduct performance testing and debugging to ensure applications meet performance targets on all supported platforms
Requirements:
  • Proven experience developing and optimizing Unity applications and games
  • Strong proficiency in C# programming language
  • Expertise in Unity's rendering pipeline and optimization techniques
  • Solid understanding of 3D graphics principles, including shaders, lighting, and rendering
  • Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools, such as Unity Profiler
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience optimizing applications for mobile platforms (iOS, Android)
  • Experience with multi-threaded programming and job systems in Unity
