At Rooter, we are on a mission to transform the gaming industry in India. We are seeking an experienced Digital Ad Sales Director to join our team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through advertising, performance marketing, and other brand-related monetization channels in the respective region.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading live streaming platform hosting India's largest community of gamers and creators. You will be responsible for building and managing relationships with key accounts in the digital agencies and clients, working closely with the operations and brand solutions team to drive revenues and ensure timely deliveries.

The primary objective of this role is to increase revenue and establish brand position among online advertisers. You will create content partnerships across gaming and esports companies, pitch, close, and manage deals with major brand advertisers, sell inventory, and improve yield.

We offer a competitive salary of ₹18-22 lakhs per annum, based on experience, plus additional benefits including health insurance and gratuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Selling/pitching advertising solutions to key clients and agencies
  2. Working closely with operations and brand solutions team to drive revenues
  3. Building and managing relationships with key accounts in the digital agencies and clients
  4. Ensuring timely deliveries and proper coordination
  5. Identifying market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels
  6. Analyzing and producing reports for management
  7. Connecting with existing and potential clients to build and maintain positive relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience; MBA considered a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in ad sales (preferably digital) with any advertising company/ad network/publisher/ad-tech company
  • Strong relationships with agencies and clients
  • Fluency in solution selling, pricing, inventory control, brand building, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to prospect, cold call, negotiate, and close deals
  • Sound understanding of current online advertising trends and various advertising metrics
