Site Quality Engineer

About the Role

The Site Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet initial and long-term quality standards. This includes leading containment activities, ensuring the quality of products and processes, and analyzing data to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for applicable systems related to plant customer issues such as corrective requests.
  • Lead containment activities.
  • Ensure products and processes meet initial and long-term quality standards, including IATF and customer-specific requirements.
  • Lead and/or support change management activities for current product and Value Package Introduction (VPI) by verifying products and processes to ensure key measures are met and analyzing data for decision support.
  • Support and/or lead quality audits.
  • Serve as a Quality technical resource to other functional areas.
  • Coach and mentor quality practices with less experienced team members.
  • Lead the prioritization of continuous improvement with cross-functional key business partners using industry-proven methodologies.

Requirements

  • Graduate Engineer with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferably 3-5 years experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or quality experience required.

  • Advanced Product Quality Planning: Leads technical quality planning and ensures customer satisfaction through structured and measurable processes as defined by industry standards.
  • Measurement Science: Analyzes measurement processes throughout the relevant traceability chain to identify and quantify sources of measurement uncertainty relevant to the appropriate applied measurement science, Metrology.
  • Problem Solving: Solves problems and may mentor others on effective problem solving by using a systematic analysis process leveraging industry-standard methodologies to create problem traceability and protect the customer.
  • Drives Vision and Purpose: Painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action.
  • Project Management: Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule, and resources for a temporary effort (a project). Ensures results/impact from temporary effort are fully realized as possible.
  • Quality Process Management: Proficient application of quality tools and methods to ensure quality of products, processes, and services.
  • Quality Systems Management: Utilizes quality tools and processes to ensure the quality management system is understood, implemented, maintained, and demonstrates its ability to consistently and effectively provide products/services that meet requirements.
  • Statistical Foundations: Applies statistical tools and techniques to influence decision making; leverages understanding of data collection methods, key statistics, graphical and analytical methods to describe process performance, gain insights, and drive improvement action.
