About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager at Nielsen, you will play a critical role in driving the development and launch of innovative products and services. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to co-develop a product roadmap, turning insights into actionable product features, and working in an Agile environment to continuously review business needs and refine priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technology, operations, and product partners to co-develop product roadmaps and drive product features from concept to launch.
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing stakeholder requirements with company goals.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge stakeholder requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases.
  • Monitor project progress and make scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of project management, product ownership, or software product development experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in iterative development and Agile principles.
  • Customer-first mindset, proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, exemplifying and promoting Agile values and principles.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile framework or method (i.e., Scrum, Kanban) and in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices.
