About the Role

Initiate International is seeking a Senior Data Platform Strategist to lead their Data Platform Team in Mumbai. As a key member of our client's global journey, you will drive the next wave of innovation in data-driven solutions that fuel growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Leadership: Lead the Data Platform Team, gathering requirements, prioritizing product backlogs, and maintaining roadmaps. Deliver top-notch documentation and training to ensure team alignment and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the key liaison between the team and other business units. Communicate product visions, roadmaps, and progress to stakeholders and senior leadership, managing competing priorities for on-time delivery.
  • Strategy Development: Conduct cutting-edge technology and architecture research to define and execute a data platform strategy that supports engineering needs and scales with the business.
  • Innovation and Scalability: Drive the development of innovative data solutions that boost product value and user experience. Ensure the data platform scales effectively, supporting growth and operational efficiency.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitors to refine product strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Data Governance and Quality: Establish and enforce data governance standards to ensure data integrity, quality, and security. Oversee data management, including sourcing, storage, and accessibility.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in product management or related roles with a strong technical background in data platforms, analytics, or similar. Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions that drive business growth.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of data technologies, architectures, and best practices. Experience with cloud-based solutions, preferably AWS. Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Bonus Points: Familiarity with the payment industry and regulatory environments.
