Logic Design Engineer for High-Speed I/O

The Server I/O Logic Design team at IBM is seeking a skilled Logic Design Engineer to deliver proprietary and industry-standard interfaces for POWER systems and Z Mainframe processors. As a member of this team, you will work on cutting-edge technology and data rates from 2.5 Gbps to 64 Gbps or higher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture product feature requirements and create design documentation, such as functional specifications and high-level design documents.
- Develop logic for IBM hardware and technology products, including server systems, storage systems, and networking systems.
- Ensure components are unit tested and ready for integration into the system product.
- Provide fixes to defects identified by the verification team or physical design team during the development life cycle.
- Support the lab team in characterizing and validating post-silicon hardware.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to define functional requirements and develop solutions.
Requirements
A minimum of 7+ years of logic design experience in high-speed I/O or analog mixed-signal domain is required. Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog hardware language, and familiarity with C programming are also necessary. Prior IBM logic design experience or high-speed IO logic design experience is preferred.
