Immersive XR Product Designer for NxtWave

NxtWave seeks a seasoned Immersive XR Product Designer to spearhead the development of cutting-edge AR/VR products.
About the Role:
- We are looking for an experienced Product Designer (AR/VR) who can create immersive experiences, have hands-on expertise in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) design, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for designing interactive and engaging user experiences across multiple XR platforms, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring visionary AR and VR products to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user-centric interfaces for AR and VR platforms, ensuring high-quality user experiences.
- Collaborate with developers and engineers to transform design concepts into fully functional XR products.
- Conduct user research, and create wireframes, prototypes, and storyboards to guide the user experience.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in XR technologies and continuously iterate on designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Design intuitive UI/UX flows for 3D environments, ensuring a seamless interaction between the user and digital elements.
- Work on optimizing designs for performance and usability within AR/VR environments.
- Collaborate with product management and development teams to define product requirements and refine features.
- Lead design sprints, ensuring alignment of the design vision with project goals.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing for AR/VR environments.
- A proven track record of launching successful XR products.
- Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles for immersive experiences.
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma, and 3D modeling tools.
- Experience with prototyping tools for AR/VR, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
- Familiarity with HoloLens, Oculus, or similar AR/VR hardware.
- Ability to conceptualize 3D environments and interactive designs.
- A strong portfolio showcasing AR/VR projects and immersive experiences.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
