Edutech Publication Director

We are seeking an accomplished EdTech professional to lead our publication division as a Head of Educational Content Management at Utkarsh Classes. This strategic role is pivotal in overseeing end-to-end operations, including book printing, e-commerce order management, warehouse and inventory management.

1. Book Production & Printing: Oversee all aspects of book printing, from pre-production to final delivery, ensuring high quality and adherence to timelines.
2. E-Commerce Order Management: Manage and optimize order processes across e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and others.
3. Dealer Network & Distribution: Build and maintain strong relationships with a network of dealers, ensuring seamless distribution and availability of publications across various regions.
4. Warehouse & Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring efficient space utilization, stock management, and timely dispatch of orders.

This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of publication processes and experience in e-commerce and distribution channels. The ideal candidate will drive publication sales growth through strategic planning and targeting both direct and dealer channels.

The successful candidate will also take ownership of the publication division's profit and loss (P&L) statement, working to maximize revenue and profitability. To achieve this, they will analyze market trends, competitor activities, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to develop competitive pricing and promotional strategies.

The Head of Educational Content Management will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Technology, to support publication initiatives and align on broader company goals. They will ensure seamless inter-departmental communication and alignment on timelines, resource allocation, and budget considerations.

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Publishing, or a related field
• 10+ years of total job experience, with 5+ years in publication management and leadership roles, preferably in the EdTech industry
• Strong understanding of printing processes, e-commerce platforms, dealer networks, and inventory management
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L, driving sales growth, and improving operational efficiencies
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and strategic planning skills
• Proficiency in using ERP and inventory management systems

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
