Backend Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Backend Developer to join our team. This role will involve working with Python, developing efficient code, and collaborating with researchers to exchange ideas and insights.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Developing Efficient Code: The successful candidate will be responsible for developing efficient Python code to address problems effectively.
  • Applying Business Acumen: They will apply business acumen and analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from public databases.
  • Articulating Reasoning: They will articulate reasoning and logic coherently when writing code in Jupyter notebooks or similar platforms.
  • Collaborating with Researchers: They will collaborate closely with researchers to exchange ideas and insights.
  • Maintaining Documentation: They will maintain thorough documentation for all developed code.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Understanding of Python: The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Python programming language for coding and debugging purposes.
  • Knowledge of Databases: They will have knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Communication and Teamwork: They will have excellent communication and teamwork skills in a remote setting.
